Fair Trade Helps Young Weaver Go To School

Angelica is a delightful little lady and at age 20 is an accomplished weaver and is finishing her studies  in Business Administration.  Her mother and she are part of our Fair Trade Artisan Group, Artesanas T’zaput. It has been wonderful to see her grow and be able to continue her education through her mother’s weaving work in the artisan group.

Fair Trade helps young lady finish studies

Angelica has learned to do basic sewing and will teach the basics to the women in her mothers group.

Angelica has often been the translator for us in the Mayan language Kakchiquel

Angelica has helped her mother weave for a couple of years

We are so happy that Angelica has continued to advance in her studies and she told us how thankful she is that Education And More is helping their families and that she has been able to go to school to earn a degree.  She will graduate this year and hopes to find a job.
