Following His Lead

There is a lot of need here in rural Guatemala as there is in so many parts of the world and it  takes time and effort to decide where to concentrate our efforts to help.  We have many requests for help and it can be overwhelming at times but we must continually turn to God to ask for His guidance.

We are only here to go alongside and do the work He lays before us; follow His guiding;  let Him lead us.  It may be a passion for the entire volunteer staff at Education And More but it is a passion given to us by God.

We may feel inadequate and not up to the job at times but then we are bolstered by Him in unexpected ways.

  • A hug and smile from a child that is able to go to school for the first time.
  • Language barriers overcome.
  • A happy mother that can afford to feed her children a better diet because of earning money through her weavings.
  • A difficult journey to see an artisan group that went especially smooth.
  • Relationships established and strengthened with God’s presence
  • Tiring travel and work that is a pleasure to do.
  • Obstacles suddenly gone.
  • Organizational needs met in unexpected ways.
  • New opportunities and paths to accomplish them.
  • and always hugs and smiles to bolster us

We are given what we need!  We are helped in all of our weaknesses and we thank God.

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us.

Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, sent by God, to help us in His work!
