Getting the job done!

Do you get the job done? Are you making a difference with the money I donate?” — We were recently asked those questions and assured our volunteer that we are fully committed to making a difference to the children and families in Guatemala.

Children that receive badly needed school supplies are more likely to remain in school than if they don’t have pencils and paper to do school work.  Are we making a difference with all the school supplies?  Yes!

Teachers can teach more effectively with the right tools.  Good teacher resources can make the job of teaching easier and learning more fun.  Teacher desks and bookshelves also facilitate teaching.  Do we make a difference?  Yes!

We are working with 5 women’s groups and they earn a better income, a fair daily wage,  as we purchase more handcrafts.  They can purchase food and clothing for their families, are able to send their children to school and have a better quality of life.  When you buy more handcrafts it does indeed make a difference in the lives of the families of the women’s gorups and in the numbers of children we can help to educate.

Yes, with God’s help we are making a difference in the lives of hundreds in Guatemala!

Micah 6:8  “What does the Lord require of you?

But to act justly

To love mercy

and to walk humbly with your God.”
